They don't. The rules change if we change them at a Dan Grade meeting at the beginning of each year, and the categories have been jumping around a bit, but will be the same this time as last time. It was mainly because I have been trying to spilt up the junior categories as fairly as possible, and its been a bit trial and error.

How come they don't go on height then it would make the competition a bit fairer for some of the smaller competitors...?

hello sensei. And why the hight thing i think that would casue a stir.you remeber you get tall when you are a grown up.And you should have the right as well then you grow tall as you get older and i thinkl it should be fair silt them like they are now leave it at seniors with seniors and juniors with juniors.!

its 16 currently - we did experiment with a 14-18 yrs section but nobody entered so it was scrapped.
So there! you had your chance to have it and scuppered it. You can't complain.

When I said height Frances I didn't mean combine everyone together! But it would make it fairer for juniors on height and seniors on weight obviously still incorporating low grade, high grade and dan grade in different categories.

Tom said 18 should be adult not have 14 year olds fighting them! Would be better having 16-18 category if you're planning to have 18 as adult age then have other categories up to 15 but go on height!
